TEN WEEKS emphasizes the journey and not just the destination; the process and not just the solution. Along this journey we notice our reluctance to face certain things about our lives. We see that we are eager to 'leave' those discomforts rather than 'stay' and take a deeper look.

When we always leave the poet Mark Nepo tells us that "we lose our ability to try…"

TEN WEEKS advocates reclaiming our ability to try and live Authentically in the middle of our 'interstate' world. It's still possible to wander those back roads and reclaim the wonder of the journey. We practice this skill of 'staying' by giving money our full attention.

This involves;
· Taking an honest emotional inventory - how we have related to money and what we have expected it to do for us.
· Taking an honest financial inventory of where we stand right now with our finances- each nitty, gritty, detail.
· Managing all the aspects of finance on at least a weekly - preferable a daily - basis using the automated features of Quicken software. Comprehensive financial management should take no more than 1 hour per week after the TEN WEEKS program is completed.
· Taking the time to understand each aspect of our finances, using the 131 Money Attention Pages and 4 Instructional CD's.
· Testing different financial options by seeing how they fit into our Authentic Money Guide. This is the 'What If' analysis part of the Program.
· Making informed, grounded, financial decisions.

Once money has received this kind of attention it is happy to serve its true master - our Authentic Self.

Now that's a destination we'd all like to reach!

Wander The Back Roads

In our hurry to be somewhere else, we've constructed a massive interstate highway system all across America. Hundreds of small towns have vanished as a result of our haste to arrive at our destination, rather than enjoy the journey.
